Writing is my first answer, but there are other moments that really stand out. One of my books was given to a woman on the same day as her engagement. She tweeted to me and told me that she would cherish it always and that getting it (it wasn't even from me, as I didn't host that particular giveaway) only added to make her special day even more special. That meant a lot to hear.

Write. Just write. If someone tells you that you aren't a writer, prove them wrong. Only you can determine whether or not you are a writer. Believe in yourself, and hold to those who also believe in you.

A few things. A follow up to The Eye of Balor is being edited right now. I'm also working on book 3 in that series. I've also started on a smaller project that I hope to make something of in the coming weeks. We'll see.

I've always been a writer. I was writing stories about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before I could even spell that correctly. I wrote my first novel-length piece when I was 14, over the course of an entire year's worth of Study Halls. That summer, my grandmother found it, thought it was just a bunch of old notes or scrap paper, and threw it all in the burn pile. I was devastated, but it didn't stop me.

I was watching a YouTube video regarding Irish mythology that asked the question of why we don't see more of that in popular culture as opposed to Norse or Greek. I set out to do my part in fixing that, as I've always found Irish mythology fascinating.
