Find something that intrigues you, for me i have always loved history, and so it felt natural to write what i knew. Also the first time you write your novel, 9/10 times it will be terrible, but you learn, and you learn a lot from writing but you also learn from reading through your work and realising what is wrong with it. No writing process is ever perfect, and there are ups and downs but find a system that works for you, be it plan everything, from the chapters to a literal timeline for everything that will happen in your book/series. Or just wing it, or you can do a mixture of both.
Honestly the most important piece of advice i can give you, don't be afraid. Don't be afraid of bad reviews, don't be afraid of writing, write because you enjoy it, the moment it become a chore, then your heart is no longer in it, and you will feel that through your novel.
Just breathe, and write the best that you can, and you will most probably be surprised by what you can actually produce, most Authors are at first.

Losing myself in the words, and the challenge. I never set out to be an Author, i wrote my first book for nanowrimo, and to be honest i never expected to even complete that but i did. The feeling that comes with finishing a first draft or the final edit, or pushing the button to publish your work, it is such an indescribable feeling, the pride and happiness is one i cherish.

Personally i believe that everyone is different, and whenever i have got writers block, i have pushed through it, and just didn't care what i wrote, since i could just edit it out during editing, but if you can't even write that, then my only suggestion would be to stop, stop do something else, think about something else and then come back to, get some inspiration, and then start by writing some scenes and then slowly work those into chapters and it will help.

The Second Book in the Welsh Dragon and English Rose series, and also a little bit of a modern day new adult romance, but i know that will not be released at the earliest 2019, but the next book in the Welsh Dragon & English Rose is out in the Summer of 2018

I write a lot at the weekends normally i am sitting on a bench at some historical sight or another, i actually wrote the first meeting between Henry and Elizabeth at the Tower of London sitting on a bench outside the White Tower, for me that is where i get most of my inspiration going to the places that the people i write about actually lived and died in. i think that is the best thing about writing Historical Fiction based on real figures, there is so much inspiration just a train ride away.

I got the idea from searching around for a book like this with these historical figures and found very few and the ones i did find were very historically inaccurate that i decided to do the research myself and write it.
