As a child, hiking alone in a hilly woods, I came upon a flat area that had been used as a campsite, and discovered blood. Amazingly, I was able to find my way back to the location later, with my dad, who called in the police to investigate. I was later told the blood was animal and someone had probably been poaching.
But . . . what if it *had* been human?

Danelle, wonderful catch! Just fixed. Usually Goodreads adds books automatically from Amazon, but it is possible I added this one manually and made a typo. (Naturally computers don't make mistakes. Oh, what the heck! Let's throw the computer under the bus!)
Thanks!

Write. I've kept a journal on and off most of my life. I find it keeps me "in the mood" to write and is a place to make notes on ideas (if I can remember them) I get while in the shower. I do both my best singing and thinking with hot water pouring over my head.

If one part of a story has me stymied I work on a different chapter. My characters have a way of telling me what they are up to.

Paying bills, figuring out this page . . . Oh! you mean my WRITING! Well, if you've had a chance to read Melissa's story, you might have noticed there are a LOT of interconnected families that seem to have been in Sweet Grove, Texas, since the Pleistocene--or at least since Texas was a Republic. I have a number of tales partially developed ranging from the 1840s to the present, but am closest to producing a WWII novella which would be Josephine's story.
