I wouldn't say I've ever had to deal with writer's block... I always have ideas popping into my head. The only kind of block I get is when I sometimes sit down to write and can't find the words... or I lose focus of a scene and get stuck. When that happens, I talk to one of my critique partners... or I go for a walk. Usually one or both of these things helps, and I free up again.

You can experience life through the eyes of someone else... and you have full control over what that character does... and you get to feel them grow and change.

As of December 2017, I'm finishing the sequel to my YA romance... and then I'm going to fix/edit Frozen in the Night to get it ready for publication. After that, I plan on working the final book for my YA romance. AND... after that... I have another novel (adult contemporary romance) that I plan on writing with an adult romance sci-fi that sort of goes along with the adult contemporary romance (you'll see what I mean once I write them).

The most important thing is to... JUST write! You can always edit later. And, if you aren't writing, then none of the marketing or anything else will matter... because you won't have a product.

Well, define most recent book? I'm sure I'll have to update this answer as I publish different novels. But... if we're talking about Frozen in the Night... the idea came to me when I was on the elliptical at the gym back in 2010. Yes. I know the year. Anyway, I was at the gym, and I was thinking... I wonder how frustrated an actress would be if she came from a time when you could be curvier, and she woke up in the modern age?

I guess it all sort of depends. Sometimes I'm watching something really good on TV--a relationship, a situation, maybe something very emotional that the camera angles in on in just the right way. Then, BAM! An idea for a novel is born. Or sometimes I'm at the gym, listening to a song that makes me feel a certain way and inspires something completely different. OR sometimes I'm thinking about something that I've personally gone through, and I can imagine another character going through the same things. There have even been times when I've been inspired by what other people have gone through. I would say that "relationships" in general inspire me whether that be romantic or platonic.
