The best thing about being a writer, is that I get to create characters that have a depth of emotion and history that I explore while telling their stories. I get to explore political, cultural, and social issues in a way I could never do in real life.

I love reading, I love science, and I love meme's. My work usually consists of a combination of the two, lol. My Magic and Heartache series is from a tumblr post that I used as a spring board to create the basics of the world. Other's I get from reading the news, keeping up-to-date on interesting inventions, and playing what if's with my imagination.

Currently I'm working on Book 2 in the Magic and Heartache series, Unwanted Love (I actually just sent it out to the editor). And I'm still working through edits on a science fiction romance that I've been in the 'revision' stage for the last year and a half.

Keep writing. I know it sounds cheesy, but the more you write, the better you'll get at it. I have six or seven novels under my belt that I know need work, a lot of work, all in slightly different genres. I finally hit on a story that I loved writing, and felt would work well in the reading community, and ran with that series. That doesn't mean I won't be working on other stories, and worlds, but it's helped me flush out my writing techniques, scene building, and story telling.

When dealing with writers block, I start making bullet points on what could happen where I've stalled. Sometimes I'll get to three ideas and hit on one that I feel fits the story best, other times it's ten. When it's really bad, if I haven't hit on what I need to do, I'll think ahead about what needs to occur and start working on that scene instead. Often that helps me move past my break. The worst I've had to deal with was putting what I was working on aside, and working on other projects, while I churn on what's going on with the one I stopped.
