I have two ways around this:
a) Write something else for a while. This could either be free writing, a standalone scene, or a short story.
b) Writing sprints or word crawls. They are a fun way to get the words flowing again.

The simple answer is I need to write. It's like an itch that demands to be scratched. Even if I never became an author, I would still be writing.

In environmental science, there is this thing called the Gaia Hypothesis. Basically, it suggests that the earth is self-regulating superorganism. So while thinking about the earth itself as a living thing, I thought "What if the Earth was conscious?"
And Telluria spiraled from there.
