ok, so my most recent book is called Poems for Christmas day. I was riding with one of my friends to this 24hr doughnut spot called sublime doughnuts when I thought about a small poetry book that people could read on Christmas day. I was so inspired to write it that I had started writing it before we even got to sublime doughnuts. The book turned out to be a great idea by the way.

A lot of different things inspire me to write. Everything from people getting treated unfairly to people succeeding. However, what really inspires me to write is when I think about changing my circumstances from what they are to what they could be.

I am currently working on my second poetry collection for my 11:11 series. I am also working on some ideas for my first ever young adult novel.

My advice for the aspiring writer is to really try and figure out what you are wholeheartedly passionate about. once you have figured what that is, write as much as you can about that particular subject. Read as much as you can about that subject. Publish as much as you can on the subject. Eventually, you're going to start to build a brand around that subject and become an authority figure in that particular subject. However, it all starts with writing what you're passionate about.

One of the best things about being a writer is the creative process. The fact that we humans have the ability to create these awe-inspiring alternate realities that readers can get lost in is truly a god given gift. A gift I will cherish forever.

One of the ways I deal with writers block is to read inspirational quotes and watch inspirational videos on the subject. Sometimes i will ask some of my friends for input on the subject i am writing about. When i really can't think of anything to write i will lay down and go into a deep meditative state and try to think of something and usually I do so I will write whatever i thought of down and try to build on that whether its a line, paragraph, or chapter.
