Michelle D. Rayford In the book I'm currently writing, "Settling Up", the idea came from a song. Heather Headley's "I Didn't Mean It" is a song about a woman who had an affair and regretted it. I took that premise and added to it. What if the woman having the affair didn't regret it? What if she found the man she should have waited to marry?
Michelle D. Rayford I'm working on the first book in a series, entitled, Settling Down. It is about a married woman who has an affair with a younger man.
Michelle D. Rayford Best thing about being a writer is you get to escape into your own world. I love creating characters and following their lives.
Michelle D. Rayford My advice for aspiring writers is to never give up. It seems like a trite answer but it's true. I've wanted to write since I was a child. I'm in my mid-40's putting out my first book. Keep working, learning, reading and writing until you are ready to put your work out.
