As an engineer I have found one of my most helpful habits is to try to look at things from a different perspective. One way of doing that is to work on a situation energetically for a while, then let it rest without coming to a conclusion. The cliched phrase is to “look outside the box”, but I find sometimes the task is to examine the box itself.
In this case there has obviously been a great deal of literature written about the role of “observation” in quantum physics, but I have not been satisfied with any of the approaches I have seen, so I decided to create my own.
