I don't know that I have anything that I would consider a ritual for writing. I have figured out what times of day that I am most productive, and I have started using my phone to write in Google Docs when I'm on the go. I have also found that if I'm struggling with distractions or writer's block, a change of scenery helps.

If I have the time to set something aside for a while, that's what I do. Sometimes, I just need to see a story with fresh eyes to get over writer's block. If I don't have the time to put a story aside, I just force myself to write a little bit more of it each day, even if I'm not sure that it's good. Once you get that first draft written (not matter how bad it is), the writing process will start to get easier from there.
