I was inspired to write a book about fairies that would be suitable for a adult to read to both boys and girls at the same time, for them to be able to hopefully enjoy together. This was after watching a parent and two children being unable to settle for a book. It was either fire fighters or fairies in extremes and they ended up disagreeing.

Believe in yourself. It takes up a lot of your energy, uncertainty and sheer graft to be a writer. But you do it because you have this special gift and ability to connect words with reality and fantasy. Books are one of the most magic things in life and all writers deserve praise.

I think the best thing to do is to have a few little projects going on at the same time if possible. Then it is easier to take a little break and come back to a project with renewed energy after perhaps spending some time on something else for a short while.
