Bernard Grisoni Inspiration often strikes when I least expect it — in the silence of ancient ruins, while tracing forgotten paths on old maps, or reading about a burial site that doesn’t quite fit the official story. I’m drawn to the echoes between myth and archaeology, faith and geometry, past and present. Writing, for me, is a way to listen closely to those echoes — and give them voice through characters who are seekers, dreamers, and questioners like we are.
Bernard Grisoni The idea for Sara’s Secrets came while researching the legends of Mary Magdalene and the early Christian exiles said to have landed in southern Gaul. Being from Marseille myself, I grew up near the Camargue and the stories of the Saintes Maries de la Mer — tales of sacred arrivals, hidden truths, and ancient paths westward. I began to wonder: What if a young girl had carried a secret across those Roman roads — one that could change how we see the birth of faith itself?
Bernard Grisoni I’m finishing my next novel, Sara’s Secrets — a historical mystery that weaves together early Christianity, ancient traditions, and one young girl’s quest across Roman roads and forgotten sanctuaries. From the shores of Gaul to the edge of the known world, it’s a journey of exile, discovery, and spiritual awakening. Think relics, revelations, and the whispers of lost wisdom echoing across centuries.
