If asked this question years ago, my answer would have been different, but the publication of my first novel brought an unexpected revelation. I received a review that stated the reader had not read for many years, had in fact, lost interest in reading. They said they loved reading my novel and it had made them want to read again and they had already read three additional books. It was a privilege to have a small part in bringing that person back to reading, something I have always loved, and far and away the best thing about being a writer.

I am working on Book Three in the Silver Shores series, Girls and Boys. It seems there was more of Dannie's story to tell.
