Christopher Thomas The ability to create characters and stories the way you see fit with the limits being your imagination.
Christopher Thomas Keep plodding on, don't throw every ounce of energy into chasing your dream as you will burn out very quickly but try to at least do a little everyday no matter how small as you'll be surprised how much you get done when you persist.
Christopher Thomas As I am a new author (part-time) I work on the creative muscles in my head to bring out new ideas through practice. I have not made enough money for me to give up full time work to concentrate on writing so I have limited time to do this. But the only way I have worked out for me to deal with writer's block so far is to put the story down when I get the dreaded "Block" and take part in one of my other hobbies in my spare time. After a day or two I'll finally return and have a look of what ideas I have already put down and I add a few more until the "Block" kicks back in and I repeat the process.
Christopher Thomas I am currently working on ways to spread the word about "Blood Horse" and I am putting together ideas for a sequel called "Blood Horse: Son of Sammy"
Christopher Thomas I’m not entirely sure why I started writing but I think it was brought on by my love of films. Since my early twenties I’ve acquired a sizeable film collection and I used to watch my favourite films over and over again. One day I started thinking up scenarios for films and it took root from there.
Christopher Thomas Funnily enough the story was inspired by a TV advert from the early 2000’s by Cravendale where “the cows were coming to get their milk back”. When watching the advert I thought the cows looked a bit scary and the idea of deranged cows on the rampage with the intent of killing people would make a good film. After coming up with a plot I discovered that a film already had been released about killer cows, so I dropped it for a while. After reading an article that revealed the fact that horses kill more people than all of the other wildlife in Australia combined (including snakes, spiders and crocodiles) I decided to take the idea of killer cows and turn it into a story about killer horses.
