Hey! It's being written now but had a delay! I've got a blog post on my website about this emmastclair.com and have posted on Instagram and FB as well. I don't usually update here just because the GR space isn't always a safe or healthy one for authors, so I hadn't posted an update. It's coming, along with Tank's book, the last in the series, but other books + circumstances meant putting them on hold for a bit! :)

I don't know WHY I just saw this! Absolutely Not in Love is actually Jenny Proctor's book, but we're writing the Appies books together, just alternating between who writes which ones. Feel free to shoot me an email, which is much easier for me to see if you're still interested in reading any of the Appies books- emma@emmastclair.com

Hey, Polly! Great question. I would love to, but I am hitting pause for now. I realized when I wrote Royal Gone Rogue that these books take me a little longer to write, and it interrupted the rest of my publication schedule I planned and threw me off. So I'm going to wait until I have more of my series finished!

I don't yet! I wanted to end that friend group story with Ben and Kat's book, but haven't gotten to it yet. ;)

For me, having five kids is a "trial." Or, just something hard to work around. Actually, it was harder when we had two and they were super little. I just COULDN'T make my brain function. I was also writing more literary fiction and that was ... too much. I kept trying every year to see if i could write, but it took until I switched genres and also when things were more chill. You wouldn't THINK they'd be more chill with five kids than two, but my hubby is super supportive, and the other ones were in school and I had more time. Otherwise, sometimes I write myself into a corner and get stuck, as I don't plot. I have big ideas of what might happen but not how we'll get there. People call it discovery writing or pantsing. I love writing this way, but sometimes I just hit a wall.

I'm HOPING to finish out that series with a last book featuring Ben and Kat! I never really thought I'd write their story, but as I kept writing, I really wanted to give them one. I'm not sure when YET, but I do want to write them a story and finish out that whole series with a bang!!

I'm currently editing book number two in the Love Cliches series, Falling for Your Boss, and am a third of the way done writing the first draft of Falling for Your Fake Fiance, book number three. I tend to immediately start a new book after finishing one. I love starting books, and I often hit a kind of creative depression after completing a book, so starting a new one helps. I actually tend to start lots of books when I hear characters or envision a scene, so at any given time, I might have 5-10 books that are started, anywhere between 5k-30k.

I often have a scene pop into my head, sometimes a premise, but often a character. I'll start hearing that character talk, and often follow them to a story.

I almost never have writer's block. I have the opposite problem: TOO MANY IDEAS. Sometimes I get stuck in a book, but that's usually when I'm trying to force my characters to do something they don't want to do. When I give up trying to control things, it usually goes better. ;)
