Coming in Sept/Oct, it's a new release titled: Satchel of Secrets. It's about an Army man who returns to the US. Philip sits in a dead job as a clerk at a c-store. But, an angel, Bev, offers him a chance to get out from under the thumb of mediocrity and give answers to prayers. What will he do?

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Michael S. Lachance Solving the question: Is there an alien species living within out planet, through a portal or is it Satan that envelopes a human in a bubble only to have them trapped in gross despair or to invade their thoughts and move them to do horror? The answer is I don't know, but I know as fact that it is happening.

How did your character come to have that hobby of taking pictures?
Michael S. Lachance I mentioned that he got the camera as a gift from his parents. Though the bishop did not care for his hobby, Father Leauvin embraced it.

Where did he get the idea to have a camera?
Michael S. Lachance So, to answer this question, Father Leauvin got the camera from his parents. They knew of his interest and bought it.

What type of camera did your character use?
Michael S. Lachance The camera Father Leauvin uses on the battlefield, it's called a Tourist Multiple by Herbert & Huesgen, New Ideas Mfg. Co production sometime in 1913.

Michael S. Lachance Butterfly in Frost, Good Man, Dalton.

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Michael S. Lachance Eric never liked it, the bad feeling he never felt when he stabbed another person. He felt elated though as he stood at her window and pushed the knife through the screen, the only thing that kept him from her.

Mission forward! Labor day is over and on to fall/winter. Next stop--Halloween. My neighborhood goes hot in the cool weather with some very cool Halloween decor. It scares me to write about ghosts and ghouls! 21 Windows was a departure from my, normally romance/action/adventure, writing. I'm happy I wrote the story and that 21 Windows is a great read. What's your Halloween plans? Do you put up inflatables?

How do you get inspired to write?
Michael S. Lachance I may read a favorite novel and find inspiration from that author to get going on a story of my own.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Michael S. Lachance I say, "keep at it and never let ideas stay in your head."

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Michael S. Lachance So, the best thing about being a writer is the moment the written word moves the reader emotionally.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Michael S. Lachance Writer's block is a tough one. To stump the block, I will go for a walk, brainstorm, or meditate. I've done mindfulness exercises too and, when friends are available, I'll call and say, "I'm stuck, help."

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Michael S. Lachance "21 Windows" is my most recent book and I got the idea of the story from a road trip to a place in the country and my imagination.

I'm currently working on a romance about a Roman soldier and a witch that takes place in 9 A.D.
