Hi there David, I'm so sorry for the late reply. I am working on Book 2. It is actually called White Horse Revenge. No White Horses was a name I had selected until I realized there was another book with that title. I don't like to use another Authors title even though it is acceptable to do so. I prefer to have an original name. Thanks so much for reading my book & enjoying it. The first book took me 16 versions until I was at peace & the demons in my mind were silenced. They are becoming loud again and want the end of their story told. I have to take their words and soften them, so they are more appropriate for you and my other readers. It's a difficult task as their words can be raw & ugly. Changing them requires me to, for a while, become one of them, so I can understand, and then write quickly so I don't forget what they have told me. I hope it doesn't take me too long, and I hope I can let Rhiannon speak, while at the same time listen to the demons that haunt her so terribly. We will see, I never really know until it is finished, and they have become quiet, and then I can just listen to my readers & hope they love what we have all written together. Kindest regards, Rett Tyler. x

People are fascinating, unpredictable creatures. Inspiration is everywhere, in everyone, look around, we are ridiculously interesting and complex.

This is the 99 billion dollar question. Well, that's what I call it. Because that is the lucrative figure of human trafficking. It has almost surpassed the illegal sale of drugs and weapons. It's far easier to move people across borders, than it is guns and drugs, and if caught, the penalties are far less. Over 4 million children are currently victims of child sex slavery right now in the world, 4 million, the figure is astounding, outrageous, horrifying, and its time to do something about it. Its time to give these silent, tiny, innocent victims a voice, its time to shine the spotlight on the worlds largest epidemic, human trafficking. Much of my inspiration came from Lydia Cacho, the famous Mexican Journalist and Human Rights activist who put her life on the line many times to save the victims of this insidious crime. She is the most courageous person I have witnessed in modern times, and if you don't know who she is, then please take five minutes and listen to her give a speech at the Global Forum on Freedom of Expression 2009. It will open your eyes to a dark world that exists right in front of your eyes.

Never give up!!! Your first draft is always crap. Well, mine was, and the second, third, fourth..., right up to draft sixteen. Even though I believe I lost my sanity somewhere between draft nine and ten, I still kept going, and so should you. You get it back, (I think?). And read, for the love of god, just read, and read, and read, and never ever ever stop reading. Thank you Stephen King for this invaluable advice. I love you, I do, I really really do.

My second book. The second one is great to write, because everyone knows everyone, so I can just get straight into the grit.

For me personally, I would have to say the best thing about writing is to give people a voice. Despite the fact my lead character is fictional, thousands of hours of research was done into the child sex slave industry, so I guess in a way she is reflective of all the children who still to this day haunt me, their images I can never erase, nor would I want to, because this is what motivates me to keep writing. Their horror does not end should they be lucky enough to be rescued, for most, it will be a life sentence of mental illness and self-harm. They deserve in the very least to be heard, and hopefully, in some small way, I can help them achieve this.

I drive, and drive, and drive and drive...
Just me, and my dog in the back, stereo on, out on the freeway. Its the best for thinking about writing.
