I love the stars and the constellations above. They fascinate me. The vast nothingness, the inhabitable planets out there -- to me they're scary and yet full of opportunity. I love writing about them, using them in metaphors to make sense of my own life. So it all fell through from there -- from space.

I read a lot. I also love listening to other writers talk about writing. When I find myself stuck and my motivation to a rock bottom level, I youtube interviews of my favourite writers and hear them talk. It works like a charm!

The isolation. The fact that my mind can run 100 miles per hour in an open field of nothingness and then suddenly conjure up people and characters and stories. I love that feeling.
