K.T. Dale I actually prefer to read books that take place in "real" places. The only exception was The Chronicles of Narnia.
K.T. Dale I recently finished Treasure Hunters and have almost completed An Unexpected Waltz. Both were wonderful books! I am currently reading (and studying) The Screenwriter's Bible 7th Edition!
K.T. Dale Thorns of Deceit and No Stone Unturned are both inspired by my experience as a detective with a major metropolitan police department. Taming Wild Ponies is inspired by a trip I made to Ocracoke Island NC with two of my best girlfriends. We went horseback riding on the beach and the idea of the book just came to me.
K.T. Dale It depends and some days are easier than others. Music and nature are both inspirations to me. If it's warm enough I'll sit in my sunroom. I find the sunshine and warm air inspires me. If I'm in my home office I will put Pandora on and let the sounds inspire me.
K.T. Dale I actually have two works in progress. One is the second in the City of Fountains series - No Stone Unturned. The second piece is more a coming of age story with a working title of Taming Wild Ponies.
K.T. Dale Write. Just write. Every day. Even if it's just a few sentences or words at a time - write.
K.T. Dale When I get stuck I go back to the beginning and re-read what I've written. Usually during the process I find what I'm looking for.
