Personally, I don't think writer's block exists.
(cue all the writers to come after me with their torches and pitchforks now!)
No, seriously, writer's block doesn't exist. What someone suffers from is an idea block... and often it is because there is something in their story that isn't working, or they've written themselves into a corner with no plausible way to correct it that they can see.
What I do when that happens? I work on character profiles - where I interview my characters. (what, your characters don't talk to you?) Or, take a walk, play a game. Focus on something other than the "problem" and the solution comes to you.

Creating worlds to share with the world. Books have always been an 'escape' for me, in bad times and in good. (especially bad times). A good book has saved my sanity and life more than once... I only hope I can do that for others like it was done for me.

Don't worry about the HOW... just focus on the DO.
If you want to write, if you want to truly be a writer, if it is the thing that tugs at your heart and wakes you up in the middle of the night with the next great idea... then there is ONE THING you have to do.
WRITE. Period. Just write.
Don't worry about what anyone else says is "right". They aren't you, they don't have your story. Only you can tell your story.
SO PUT PEN TO PAPER AND WRITE!
Oh, and pick up three books:
1. Strunk & White's Elements of Style
2. Stephen King's On Writing
3. Mel Robbins 5-Second Rule
(and refer to all three of them often!) :)

I've wanted to be a writer since I was a wee lil gal, so being inspired to write is usually never a problem. The biggest problem I run into is having too many story ideas I want to chase!

From a variety of sources really. My son and I have this tradition of making up stories together that always grew and took on a life of their own - we've done that since he was little. Now that he's older, it morphed into a full-fledged book series!
