My most recent book is a work of fiction that is loosely based on the true story of the adoption of my dog, Charlie Bean. As a child, I had always wanted a dog and I loved writing stories. Once I moved into my own home, I had the wonderful opportunity to adopt Charlie from a local shelter. After living with him for about a year and getting to know him, all while continuing to dream about one day writing that story, I realized that perhaps the best story was sitting in front of me, wagging his tail. From that point, the story seemed to write itself.
