Christina Goebel She heard no sound: no breath, no breeze, no birds, no falling leaves. All that remained around her to the vast horizon was a scorched landscape, devoid of all life but her own.
Christina Goebel I'm writing and editing, so reading is a bit on the back burner. However, I do have some Betty Neels books always at hand. I was the fourth generation in my family to read them, so reading these sweet medical romance Cinderalla-type heroine books is like still being in touch with my deceased great grandmother and grandmother. They used to have a rating system and wrote it at the beginning of the books, such as: "Special," "A favorite," "Wonderful." All of the Betty Neels books had great ratings.
Christina Goebel Narnia. Who wouldn't go to Narnia? If I went to Westeros, I might not survive, in fact the odds are that I wouldn't survive in any of the Game of Thrones lands. Now, Narnia is always a door away and the great Aslan is there to protect us well!
Christina Goebel Hey Grace! I love people who tell you when your makeup looks awful or when your website link doesn't work ; D. Thanks for the heads up!! Have a marvelous day full of the best life can offer.
Christina Goebel Writer's block is sometimes a necessary time for your mind to develop answers and allow the essences of the story to come together. It's okay to leave a work and come back to it.

However, I strongly advise not leaving a fantasy novel. When you are world crafting, it's a challenge to revisit a story and remember all the details surrounding a world that is entirely foreign to everyone but you. If you are writing fantasy, keep at it a few pages or even words a day. Skip chapters if you have to do so, but don't leave a fantasy story.
Christina Goebel The best thing about being a writer is that you get the miracle of characters coming to life on the page and surprising even you.
Christina Goebel My advice for aspiring writers is to write. Once you have a story written, editors and proofreaders can assist you.
Christina Goebel I'm preparing a Dystopian Science Fiction/Fantasy novel with epic fantasy story lines for publication. It should publish by May 2019.
Christina Goebel I always loved reading and writing and my mother reading to me at home and taking me to libraries was a strong influence. I remember days that everyone in the house was reading a different book at the same time. Big books and stacks of books were badges of honor for us.

Many teachers and professors urged me to write and since it was enjoyable for me, I felt encouraged to do it.
Christina Goebel My most recent book, which will be publishing this spring, was a movie that I saw while driving on the way to college. It was visual and wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it.
