M.C. Colõn I would want to go to Rivendell and do all the adventuring and exploring I can with the elves of Rivendell
M.C. Colõn The Spellmonger series by Terry Mancour. I'm loving it!
M.C. Colõn The idea for this book, rather for this series came kind of from the wheel of time series. I always thought that the Aes Sedai were interesting and could be developed so much differently, I thought that perhaps that instead of different aja's that perhaps there should be different towers and the gods should be directly involved in the world.
M.C. Colõn Most of the time I just sit down with a diet Pepsi or a coffee and get to work, hopefully without the kids bothering me. Sometimes I will play Guild Wars 2 and then write for a few weeks, other times a good LOTR marathon will get me in the mood. Often I have to reread my books at least back the previous few chapters to make sure that everything is still in line with the rest of the plot.
M.C. Colõn I am in the editing stage of Bindings the third book in the Athanasian Realm series. I am also starting the writing for the fourth book, although as I haven't sent it to the actual editor yet, I haven't focused that hard on writing again.

I am also starting the rough draft for a new trilogy that will cross from our universe to a parallel universe and perhaps back again. That one will be another sci-fi fantasy aimed more at young adult audiences.
M.C. Colõn If you are going to write, make sure your are writing a full length novel or novella, and label it as such. Nothing is worse than picking up a "book" and finding out it has 10 pages. Do some research on word count standards for your genre, and what the average is.
Hire a professional editor. No matter how many times you, your friends, and your college grad buddy go over your manuscript something is going to be missed and you are going to look unprofessional.
Use words that are understandable by the majority of people or are able to be deciphered by the words surrounding it. Use of complex medical or scientific terms will just make you sound like you are trying to sound superior to your reader.
The most important part, have fun and enjoy it. writing is a work of love, passion and sometimes frustration. Especially the publishing end of it. If you are trying to find an agent or doing the self publishing part, it's difficult, time consuming and a bit heart breaking trying to get it all come together. Just be patient and know that it will all come together in time with hard work and dedication.
M.C. Colõn Being able to encourage my children to follow their creative dreams. I think that showing them that you can live your dreams and that books are important is such a blessing. Kids learn what they see their parents model, and I get to do that every day.
M.C. Colõn Generally I will walk away and start dinner or laundry. Most of the time just thinking about having to do the household chores is enough to get the creative juices flowing. Haha, just kidding. Seriously though, walking away and taking a night to stew on whatever the character or plot line is dangling on is enough to get it going again. I have some of my best epiphanies at night dreaming about my characters.
