I'm currently working in Romance using a pen name. I feel like I have a greater ability there to find readers and possibly get published, so it's what I'm focusing on. I have two projects I'm working on right now that I'm really excited about, and until they are finished I don't think I can concentrate on anything else.

Knowing that I can surround myself with 'friends' any time of day or night. I can write the conversations I want to be having if my real friends aren't around.

The Chaeaverse is pretty complicated, so if I'm not feeling capable of writing a particular book, there is plenty of backstory I can work on in the meantime. The timeline spans thousands of years, so I can always think about what might be happening in a different time period. I can also work on my other writing in other genres. If I don't feel up to writing, full stop, I usually get my imagination going by reading.
