Christine Stobbe I would go to Caledon, of course! This world has fired my imagination so completely that I feel like I live with at least one foot there at all times. The castle and the Sacred Cliffs would be on my "must-see" list. I'd hang out with Myrhiadh, and probably try riding a dragon. Failing that, I've always been interested in Narnia or Oz, both worlds I loved when I was a kid.
Christine Stobbe The "Dragon's Fire Series" started out as a little romantic idea I played out in my head at night when I couldn't get to sleep. After a while, that romance in my head insisted that it make its way onto the computer screen, so I started typing it out, figuring that it might end up being about 70 pages and that I certainly wouldn't want anyone to read it. However, the story took on a life of its own and became something much bigger as I worked on it. That first story was actually "The Rose of Caledon," which is now Book Two in the series. I wrote "Myrhiadh's War," now Book Three, second. It spawned from ideas that grew as I wrote "Rose." I knew something major had happened before both of those books, and once I figured out what, "Dragon's Fire" was born. Books Four and Five (coming soon!) grew naturally out of what had gone before, and Book Six (work in progress) is a prequel to the other five because I just hadn't had enough fun with my dragons yet!
Christine Stobbe The best thing is being able to enter another world where I control everything and everybody! Everything happens precisely the way I want it to and turns out exactly how I think it should. I love escaping to a world of my creation and coming up with adventures to entertain myself and others. I am one of the privileged few who gets to live a thousand different lives in a thousand different places.
Christine Stobbe The inspiration to write can come from any number of things: a book, a movie, a picture, an event in my life. The inspiration for my current series came from a little story I made up in my head in the dark when I couldn't sleep. After several months of developing the tale in my mind as I drifted off, the story couldn't stay in my head anymore and insisted that I write it down. It started as a simple little romance that I thought wouldn't be more than a novella, and certainly wouldn't be anything I would be willing to share with anyone. But it grew and developed and became more intricate and involved and much more than a romance, and spawned five (so far!) interconnected novels.

Writing comes naturally to me - a spark of an idea can become a book or several!
Christine Stobbe Currently, I'm working on publishing the first five books in my new Dragon's Fire Series. The first two books are available on Amazon, and I am editing the third, hoping to have it out in few weeks. My WIP is book six in the series, although it is being rather neglected at the moment, since my primary focus is on editing and publishing the others, and getting the word out about my books.
