Seek Him First came about after much thought about why the church isn't changing the world but being changed by the world. It all comes down to our personal relationship with Jesus. If we aren't seeking Him first in our daily lives, then we will fail to walk in His will or impact anyone else along the way. If we want to be on mission with God, we have to make Him the number one priority each day.

I am currently working on re-publishing a Bible study (Let's Run! Uncovering Faith and Finding Freedom) from two years ago with a fresh cover and some updates. Then I have a second Bible study (Inside Out and Upside Down: How Intimacy with Jesus Changes Everything) that I plan to release in June.

When I receive testimonies from people who are inspired by the words God has given me--that's always a good feeling. If I can't write something that impacts others for the Kingdom of God, I'm wasting my time.

Generally, if I'm having a hard time writing, I will walk away from it for a while and do something else. It tends to help clear my mind and come back to it with a fresh perspective. And, of course, prayer. Lots of prayer. :)
