Inspiration for me comes from multiple different sources.
I'm a person who dreams strange and vividly, and this has contributed to a vast majority of my writing efforts. My second original story (Mercenaries and Angels) breathed life in just this fashion.
I've also been inspired by my favorite movies and TV shows. Robocop (the original version) was a huge inspiration for my first original story, Forgotten Ties. It pushed me to think about that "what if?" of cyborgs trying to live normal lives and hide what they are.
Other inspiration comes from working with my 6th graders, social events, and personal views of the world at large.

My biggest piece of advice is write for yourself first. It's the easiest way to ensure that you will continue and complete your work.
Trying to write something popular will lead to dissatisfaction in your work and contribute to writers block.
Write what you love, the audience will come later!

I'm currently working on Michael: Relations which is going to be the third book in the YA mutant series Michael. I am currently five chapters in and mulling how to progress the loose plot I have settled on for this book.
Additionally, I'm in process of finalizing the second book, Anger Management for publishing hopefully by August this year.

The idea for my most recent book, Of Dhampirs and Warlocks, stemmed from the desire to write a different kind of Dhampir than Cabal (who is a fairly straight laced individual). I wanted someone who reveled in their vampiric/dhampir talents and was an antithesis for Cabal.
