Shauna Marie Being able to put into words the thoughts that live in my head, heart and on the tip of my tongue. Then sharing it with the world.
Shauna Marie Everything... Books, movies, talking with other people. Hearing their stories. The lives they've lived the things they've experienced. I've been a people watcher and observer for most of my life. Yes, a voyeur in every scenario. Some of my best characters have come from being a nosy neighbor and watching what they're doing in this fishbowl we call life. It's fascinating what people do when they think they aren't being observed.
My friend called me Gladys Kravetz LOL. If you know that reference you'll get a good idea of what I'm talking about.
Shauna Marie Cade and Sophia have been living in my head for many years, like 20. I guess the inspiration for the story came from an early break up where I wasn't quite good enough to marry. And it grew from there. All learning experiences.
I was very happy to get the two of them on the road with their lives and out of my head. Now I can concentrate on the next one. Thanks for reading!
Shauna Marie I'll let you know if I ever get it! I have so many stories in my head, I think I will have material to share with other writers for years to come! Now I do have writers procrastination. Like now I am answering questions instead of working on Jenni.
Shauna Marie If you have a story that needs to be told, tell it. Even if you can't spell, or put together a proper sentence, those things can be taught. But no amount of teaching can MAKE you a good storyteller. You either are or you aren't.
And for your own sake, READ READ READ! So much is learned by reading.
Shauna Marie Currently I am telling Jenni Carmichael's story. She is in love with her boss, Jude, of three years and he is falling for her as well. After finally getting together, he disappears with an ex. She is angry, but suspicious of the disappearance. She knows him better than most.
It's a mystery to solve for her, while trying to stay safe from an assassin out to get rid of her.
"The Promise" due out in February 2018.
