K.E. Heaton It was very early in the morning at daybreak. I was holidaying in rural France, in the Breton countryside. I met an old lady, who was sat all alone beneath a huge tree. We didn't speak, we simply stared at one an other, most likely surprised at each others presence.
I blinked... and she was gone.
K.E. Heaton I'd visit the island where Daniel Defoe's character Robinson Crusoe lived for many years, isolated completely from the outside world.
Hopefully I'd be able to survive, and if I had any spare time I'd continue with my writing.
On completion of my next novel, a rescue boat would appear miraculously on the horizon and take me back to civilisation. I'd be a few pounds lighter, a much improved swimmer and well prepared for a new career as a guest speaker.
