Jo Johnstone Its was 6am, she'd been woken up five times during the night, slowly she reach into the cupboard, her movements zombie like. her blood turned to ice, all colour drained from her face as she realised she was out of tea!
Jo Johnstone I'd love to read the latest Pendergast novel from Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, but with two kids under five and lockdown I suspect my summer reading will be more Paddington and The Two Village Dinosaurs! 😁
Jo Johnstone Sleep 😂😂. Usually if I get writers block it's because I've been woken up several times in the night to locate a missing teddy bear or something.
If sleep isn't the answer then getting out in nature is. Walks are good, but the best is taking Mr C the horse for a long pootle about somewhere, just the two of us. Works every time.
Jo Johnstone For me making my kids smile with my stories. Hopefully other kids will smile too.
Jo Johnstone Read lots and learn what you like, it's easier to write what you love.
Jo Johnstone Two things. I'm trying to get my third picture book, T-rex ate my toothbrush in paperback form (it's already an ebook). I'm also working on an easy read/bedtime chapter book for kids between 4 and 7 which I hope to finish soon fingers crossed.
Jo Johnstone Reading. I love reading. When I had my girls I decided to write things they would like to read, hopefully that way they'll love books too.
Jo Johnstone Where I usually do, from the kids 😂. Latest book was inspired by my eldest futile attempts to not go to bed 😁.
