Roger Stewart Hi Deborah.

Thanks again for your lovely review of Random Treasure. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Yes, I do have a plan for another book, but I haven't quite got to the stage of beginning to write it.

Among the embarrassingly large quantities of British studio pottery that I have collected over the years are pieces by around half-a-dozen 20th century Scottish potters whose work is good (or in some cases great), but who are almost completely unknown and undocumented. I believe that these forgotten potters deserve to have their reputations established alongside those of their more famous peers. So for my next book, with the working title "The Lost Potters Project", I intend to investigate their lives and write short biographies of them, accompanied by illustrations of their work.

As with Random Treasure, I'm planning to alternate the factual chapters with more reflective content. The intention will be to try to discover why and how some artists or craftspeople become famous and others of equal talent do not.

It's going to be a major project, and I'm not at all certain that I will be up to the task. So I'm not going to say "watch this space" - because you might be left watching for a very long time!

Kind regards.

Roger
