I think it is important to have an observation power that is keen , genuine and fully unbiased . Other than this , you must be ready to put in a lot of toil and time , including in doing background research where indicated . Writing a book is a beautiful experience ! You will enjoy it in spite of the inevitable difficulties ! Good luck !

It is the joy of creating characters -- characters that came alive after weeks , months , years of chiselling ! Then , weaving the story forward and coming to know my own characters better and better . As the story comes to a close and a message begins to shine through , there is the hope and joy that it may influence the life / lives of one or more readers . That would be the fulfilment of all the years of effort that was put in .

I just leave off writing for a while and divert my mind with music , walks , chatting with family / friends or watching the television . The subconscious mind keeps working on the issue and it usually resolves soon . It is great when I can start weaving forward again !

There is so much happening in the world around me , it compelled me to pick up the pen . I met people- good ; bad ; not so good ; not so bad ; a few that were truly divine , and I realized that they exist not just on the silver screen , but also in real life ; and a few that were really very evil . There were incidents that moved me deeply . Nature's educating and healing beauty has become an inseparable part of my life . There were events - explainable / unexplainable - through which the spiritual aspect of life became clearer and clearer , and filled my life with - no , not a big bank balance - just immense peace , strength and happiness . Heaven is very involved and closely concerned with everything that is happening down here on earth . I wanted to share the wealth of this knowledge with my fellow travellers .

The main characters , Rishi and Chitra , came into existence long ago , when I was just a teenager . Subsequently , their names changed , settings changed , and character traits took some chiselling . New individuals / places entered the story as I myself progressed down the road of my life , and met scores of new people , was involved , or witnessed as a bystander , thought provoking events , and became acquainted with the stunning natural beauty of this planet . Gradually , also , an understanding of the spiritual basis of life came home to me . It takes , usually , years and years to understand the importance of this lifelong ( spiritual ) examination , and its outcome . What , then , is the use of understanding , when the exit gate of life has already appeared on the horizon , that we reap the harvest of our own deeds , All we can do is to look back with dismay , regret and despair , at a journey carelessly taken , and realize , too late , that we have missed that precious chance to become eligible for the Visa for Heaven .
Visa for Heaven ! - that sets us free of repeatedly coming back to earth to face the consequences of our own past inadvisable actions . Visa for Heaven - that permits us to enter , at last , a land where there is no aging , no suffering , and no bereavement from our loved ones , caused by death .
This knowledge should essentially be given at the threshold of adulthood . This novel is a romantic narration with the spiritual basis of the events explained and interwoven in the story . I hope that it will not only prove to be a pleasant reading , but also be useful to the readers , very specially young readers who are just starting to take this important examination of life .
