David L. Haase It's a memoir so I guess it came from my past.
In general, ideas come from everywhere all the time. The trick is to catch the core of the idea before you lose it. Thank God for Evernote.
David L. Haase I don't wait for inspiration. You can't wait for it. You just sit down and write. I learned in my four-decade career in journalism and marketing that you can write just as well when you are NOT "inspired" as when you are inspired.
So forget the inspiration. Sit down and write.
David L. Haase Lots of things in the queue. Revising for publication three books in a supernatural series I call The Black Orchid Chronicles. A first-contact sci-fi novel called PSNGR. And another memoir, this one a humorous look at my- ah - notable ancestors.
I expect to publish at least one more book this year and perhaps three in 2019.
David L. Haase Same advice experienced writers gave me.
Write. Write some more. Don't give up. Never stop.
The only writer who doesn't become an author is the one who stops writing.
David L. Haase Writing, of course. Translating those random thoughts in your head, putting them in an engaging order, telling a story that an audience will appreciate. (Seeing your name in print isn't bad either.)
