(view spoiler)[For Laurel, I was thinking about how would a woman/young woman make it in London on her own. What kind of living might she try, would it be easier as a man, and how hard would that be to pull off? Then what happens if she meets someone (male) who is attracted to her and vice a versa? It seemed like a balancing act between freedom and potential love. (hide spoiler)]

I think most of my ideas come at that 'almost asleep' stage at night. Some of them then write themselves. Some I think are destined to remain only ideas. Example, one time at a beach in Italy I saw what looked to be a rag half buried in the sand, and I thought 'What if that is clothing and there is actually a body connected to it under the sand?" That story idea still is rummaging around in my head.

Since I have several books 'stashed' I am mainly working on cleaning up/editing older books. I have one fantasy story idea I'm working on that starts in the present and works back to the past to show how the person got to where he is. It might be a conceit to write it, but it seemed appropriate to that particular story.

I still feel like I'm an aspiring writer. Keep writing.

Leave it and move onto something else that seems to be wanting to be told. I've got at least one story that I'm not sure will ever end up satisfactorily and maybe that just is how it will be. I really like parts of it that I have written, but I can't seem to get to a satisfying conclusion.
