Ten years into a happy relationship with a wonderful woman, she had the misfortune of waking up with a severe brain hemorrhage due to a ruptured aneurysm. After 72 nights in hospitals and rehab centers I decided to document her story. I had a digital record of all correspondence with friends and family during the crisis and I thought using such would be an interesting way to tell the story by using those as the framework for the book.
