The Seekers of Fortune from Clawson Smith. I've been sitting on this Roman Empire inspired fantasy book for far too long. Zherosha Chronicles-Unknown Origin is also on my reading list. Preparing three books for publishing this year took most of my time. Too much writing and not enough reading, I know.

I will travel to the fictional world of my books, apprentice under some starship captain and if possible join one of the Colonial Navy units. I wouldn't have to boldly go anywhere since the medical tech will keep my hairline from receding.

Someone was watching her, a gaze full of ill intent and heavy with threat. Sweating, she slowly turned around only to see herself, kitchen knife in hand and already swinging.

Honestly? I find the whole premise of slavery and human trafficking utterly disgusting and monstrous! That it still exists and is well today after so many people sacrificed their lives to abolish it is abhorrent. People are unaware that piracy, slavery, and human trafficking is a big business all around the world. Legally one can purchase kidnapped humans on the slave markets operated by ISIS and other similar organizations. I wanted to raise awareness...

I've read a lot of books, the city library was my second home for most of my childhood. I devoured every science fiction and action adventure book I could get my hands on. Nothing beats reading when it comes to developing one's imagination. After reading and re-reading the work of giants like Issak Asimov, David Brin, Arthur C. Clarke, Frank Herbert, Ray Bradbury, Robert A. Heinlein, Emilio Salgari, Alexander Belyaev and many, many others, I wrote my first science fiction short story. The rest is history.

After publishing the first three books of my Starshatter decalogy, I am now working on my fourth book - Von Braun's Gambit.

I worked tirelessly for more than 10 years to flesh out my characters and the alternative history universe they live in. There is no substitution for hard work and the more time you invest, the better. Also make sure to create tables and graphs of the major events in your books, character development etc. The scene notes you take every time when an idea pops in your mind are also incredibly important and will significantly improve the quality of your books. Organize yourself and use your time wisely, write something down when you can, use every free second!

What is this? I have no recollection of ever suffering a writer's block. So far, that is. Ideally, if I have trouble visualizing a scene, I go out and talk to people. Try to imagine them dealing with unnatural circumstances, or outright ask them outlandish science fiction related questions. People's minds are beautiful, even if they themselves had never realized that. Everyone is different, so I get many, many answers. Anyways, this is my five cents - take it or leave it!

The best? Reading what others think of your work, of course! No matter their opinion, you know that your work had some impact on another human being.
