Marin Sardy This strikes me as a funny question. The best thing about being a writer is being a writer. By that I mean, it's that you get to spend all your time writing. If that answer doesn't make immediate and obvious sense to you, I think you probably shouldn't be a writer.
Marin Sardy Sometimes I just wait it out. After my brother died, that was really all I could do for quite some time. But usually, when I have writer's block it means I'm just "stuck" and I need to get things flowing again. This is best done by moving my body. I'll go for a walk, go to yoga, or even just start washing dishes. In a bigger sense, when I'm generally feeling uninspired, I look for new experiences to immerse myself in—anything that might spark connections I've never noticed before. I love looking at art, especially, or visiting someplace new.
