I do something else. Writers block can last for a few moments, weeks, months, or even years. Your story will come out when it's ready, until then, don't force it. Put your mind to use somewhere else and allow new ideas to flow. You'll likely find one that you can use for your current project.

I don't, I'm either on the mood or I'm not. If I fight against my natural urge to write, the product is always lacking, so I've learned to wait until motivation strikes.

I've always enjoyed the thought of being able to utilize the Earth's energy in a way that produces magic. I've also watched the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings too many times while snowed in this winter. My Kingdom Of Fae series is a product of combining my favorite movies with a few daydreams and several thousand cups of coffee.

I don't get much reading done in the summer, but I do have a fabulous new gardening book that I intend to utilize heavily. The Old Farmer's Almanac Vegetable Gardener's Handbook, it's got something for every garden grower in it.
Next winter I hope to revisit a favorite author of mine, Marie Hall, and see what new titles she has.
