I knew there was a need for a dyslexia friendly guide for parents that would deal with their concerns rather than those of teachers and other professionals. I've been working with dyslexic children and their parents for over 15 years and was frustrated by the lack of understanding of dyslexia, and the need for a change in attitude and language around this learning difference. It is not a disability it is a different way of seeing the world.
