I take a breather. For me, working out is very helpful. I also listen to music. Sometimes a temporary distraction is all you need.

Don't edit your work as you go. For example, write a chapter and move on to the next one. Don't go back and edit the chapter you just wrote. Keep writing and save your editing until your project is done. That's what works best for me. However, remember, everyone is different. Do what works for you.

I am currently finishing up my second novel. It should be available in a few weeks. I am also finalizing poetry collections.

It varies. Some of my ideas have come from dreams. But a lot of them come from music. If there's a particular song that speaks to me, I think about what the inspiration for the song could be.
