I often keep myself busy with an assortment of different projects, but at the moment I am dedicating most of my time towards a literature review of the use of AI in matters relating to occupational safety and health.

In other words, there are no presets or universal rule books for writing. The first order of things is trying to figure out what kind of writing that suits you best, if you want to write fiction or non-fiction (or something in-between), and then think about what story/message you wish to convey. Still, remember that the art of writing is making it an explorative journey, in which you learn and grow at the same time. Do not write what you know, but rather endeavour to write towards what you want to know. Doing so will allow you to explore what is already known to you, but will also provide you with insight into that which you were not aware of.

Shift your focus and do something else for a little bit, and if possible, briefly change your physical setting, while making sure to keep a notepad (or something to take notes on) handy, so you can jot down potential ideas as they unexpectedly emerge. Often good ideas will come to you when you aren't actively trying to think them up.
