I'm not sure my advice is worth much, but I would say to just write. Write what you think and feel. You can edit later when you go back over it. Be honest to yourself in what you write. Don't write for money, fame or others. A writer writes because he or she must.

I've had so many unique and diverse experiences as a private investigator that I originally thought about titling my book, "You Can't Make this Stuff Up." The cases I've worked over the last three decades were inspiration enough.

My mother, Evalyn Fulmer, is a published author so writing is in my blood. Over the years I've written articles and I currently write a private investigation blog. However, I've been contemplating writing a book about my unique private investigation experiences for some time. That's how the book eventually came to fruition.
