Madison McCall Hi. Where do I look for inspiration? That's a good question. All I can say is that it happens to show up when I need it. I typically don't have trouble coming up with inspiration when developing stories as the ideas usually flow to me pretty readily. My delays in writing usually stem from life including work, family, and daily living.
Madison McCall I can't think of a mystery in my own life which would be a plot for a book that would actually sell. However, I do incorporate pieces of my own life into my stories including some places that I have been, people that I have met and things that I have done. These tidbits mixed in with my imagination end up creating the tales that my fans love.
Madison McCall Hi Shawna and thanks for taking the time to write to me. Okay, how do I pick covers? When I have the idea for a story and I sketch it out I then began looking for a cover that matches what I have in my mind. The only thing I can tell you is I know it when I see it, as that photograph speaks to me.

Next, is there a process I go through while writing a book? I typically have a concept and then start roughing it out and develop a framework, including characters names, etc., and then I start building the story. Sometimes, the book takes on a life of it's own and drifts off a bit from my planned concept, but I don't think that's uncommon with writer's.

Thanks again and feel free to contact me any time Shawna.
Madison McCall At this point in my writing career I have not lacked inspiration. I just start typing and it usually flows.
Madison McCall Don't overthink it, just write. If you just start writing it will flow, and that will get you started. Don't worry about writing War & Peace, just get started.
Madison McCall You get to create a world and the characters that will live in it. Also, depending on the role you take, 1st person, etc., you get to live the life of another person while writing the story.
Madison McCall I always have multiple projects lined up, so I skip over to my next book and work on that until my creativity returns.
