I deal with writer's block in two ways. First, I go for a walk and play my music - loud! That helps me forget about things I have to do. The result is my mind wanders, usually toward stories, characters, and plots. The second way I deal with writer's block is just to write. I put away my current work in progress and pull out a pen and paper - yes, the old-fashioned way - and write notes or ideas about whatever pops into my mind.

My work in progress novel is a contemporary fantasy inspired by the movie The Greatest Showman. There is singing and dancing, mystery and adventure!

The idea for my work in progress novel came from the movie The Greatest Showman. The song "The Greatest Show" inspired the personality of the main character and the first scene of the book. Hopefully it does the movie justice.
