K.R.M. Morgan A lot of people are asking me what happens to the main characters from Bridge of Souls after the ending. It is rewarding that so many readers have become attached to Tavish and his friends. So, yes, I am planning the sequel to Bridge of Souls.
K.R.M. Morgan There are a lot of companies and individuals trying to make money from aspiring writers. Be careful and always read the small print before you start paying anyone for any kind of help. My main piece of advice would be to focus on your writing. Forget everything else in the beginning. Start on short stories (they are quicker to finish and you will not get discouraged) and do not be afraid to share them to get feedback. Rewrite and repeat the feedback cycle. Do not try and write your masterpiece on your first attempt. Try and find a mentor and avoid people or companies who promise to help find you an agent or a publisher in return for payment. If you write for the pleasure of sharing your story then you will find happiness as an author. If you write with the expectation of making money then I fear that you will find only disappointment.
K.R.M. Morgan I find music, travel, current affairs and literature inspire me to new ideas and novel ways to look at the connections between things.
K.R.M. Morgan I love having the chance to create a world and the people who populate it. To explore their lives, their hopes and fears. To share with my reader the high and low points of existence but always to make sure that, unlike the real world, justice is done in the end. With Bridge of Souls I created some extraordinarily evil characters to act as the catalyst for the hero to develop throughout the story. I deliberately make the reader wait for retribution to occur to these evil people. But it is worth the wait, I promise.
K.R.M. Morgan When I started writing Bridge of Souls I did it because I could not find the kind of book I really wanted to read... one of those classic epic adventures, where the hero is an honest, hard working, self made person, who suddenly finds themselves facing an unexpected event that leads them into a slowly developing mystery which will, in the end, challenge and change them forever. I wrote it just for myself. But I found that my wife enjoyed listening to each chapter as it was finished and, in the end, we decided other people might enjoy the story as well.
K.R.M. Morgan Coffee, Music. A good walk or a change of venue can all help. In the end, I think, the important thing is to write. Even if, in the end, you delete what you draft on those hard days. The thing is never to give up.
