Again, I do not consider myself a writer so this question is hard to answer. It has been interesting to see what people think of the books and the experience (good and bad) is an opportunity to grow. I have never had anything out there in such a public way before so it has been rather bizarre. :)

Respectfully, I do not consider myself as a writer. Many others are far more talented than I. However, from what I have learned, I would say it is best to write the story which is rattling around in your head then go back and edit it, have many others edit it and be very particular about it. I had editing issues in the beginning which gave the books a rocky start. But do not quit and set realistic goals.

I have a few chapters written regarding the animals and I debate about writing about what Mr. Wickham ended up doing as based on his interaction with Elizabeth and Darcy in Banishing Mr. Darcy's Loneliness. I tried to be careful about not getting too edgy in the books which has led to moments of laughter for my friends as they cannot believe I wrote books which have been described as sweet.

My friends have been telling me for years that I should write stories about the silliness which occurs at our family farm so I went in a totally different direction, wrote about characters I enjoyed and tried to gauge whether or not I should continue to write. Still undecided.

The book I wrote most recently was Master Fitzwilliam becomes Mr. Darcy. I felt that there was a story to be told about why Darcy became so aloof. In other words, pride was not the only reason for his caution around others. So the idea came from that desire to explore other reasons for his behavior.
