Haris Orkin Hi Katherine, it looks like it's up for pre-order on Audible now! I hope you enjoy it! I think Chris Cuilla did a fantastic job once again.

Haris Orkin It's great to be able roll out of bed and get too work in sweatpants and a t-shirt after a fifteen second commute. But it's also great to live in your imagination and experience the lives of other people in other worlds who do much more heroic things than rolling out of bed and getting to work after a fifteen second commute.
Haris Orkin I don't wait to be inspired. I write every day. I treat it like a job and eventually I find the flow and that's where the inspiration is. Though if I have a difficult story or character problem, I find it helps if I go for a hike or a walk. Sometimes my brain works better if I'm in motion.
Haris Orkin I'm currently creating the narrative and world for a new video game and working on sequel ideas for You Only Live Once.
Haris Orkin It's different for everyone, but I find it helps if I write every day and don't judge what I'm doing. Just get it down and keep writing. I can always fix it later. That's what rewrites are for. Some days are better than others...but for me it's about tapping into my subconscious and finding the flow.
Haris Orkin I was a shy, skinny, bookish, bespectacled, and insecure twelve old living in the suburbs of Chicago when I first realized what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wanted to be James Bond. He had no fear and was confident in any situation and comfortable in his own skin. I think that was the biggest fantasy of all for an awkward pre-teen struggling through puberty. Later of course I realized that you’d have to be barking mad to actually do what James Bond does. And that brought to mind one of my favorite characters ever. Don Quixote. I could see the connections and from those connections “You Only Live Once” was born.
