Carrie Kablean Hi Susan. Technically you are correct of course. They are cousins. But to my mind Georgiana was using the term as a courtesy title, because Fitzwilliam is so much older and definitely avuncular to her - one of the two 'father' substitutes in her life. I think calling someone an uncle or aunt, even if there is no blood tie at all, is often a mark of respect in a family as well. Thank you for raising the point though. I have taken it on board. Best

Carrie Kablean Another story of a young woman navigating her way through the societal mores of Regency London. She is a contemporary of Catherine Bennet, but the two haven't met ... yet. It's early days!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Carrie Kablean Like millions of other people, I love Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, but I always felt a bit sorry for Catherine Bennet. Yes, she was silly but so are a lot of people at 17, and I felt the need to ameliorate her. That's how it all started...
