The (nonfiction) book I am currently writing came to me one evening when I was lying on my bed, pondering on the question I had recently gotten, "How are you always able to get so many things accomplished in your life?" Until that moment I was not able to answer the question, then it occurred to me that I am able to accomplish so much because of how I steward my time, and thus the birth of my forthcoming book.

Sometimes a wave of creativity will hit me, and I will add them to my notes, but to be honest it is much more of a decision, most days, than it is inspiration. The inspiration for me comes once I decide to sit in front of my computer. It is then the ideas flow!

Write your first draft without editing yourself, almost like a brain dump. The best thing about not editing as you write is that it gives you the freedom to get all your thoughts out. Trust me, the editing will come, and you will do it again, and again, and again, until it is "perfect" so don't be afraid to be imperfect in your first draft, it is soooo freeing!

I love being able to get all my thoughts out of my head, onto paper. It's much different than a conversation where there may be interruption or judgment. The paper does neither of those things. :)
