Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Julia Mossbridge The idea for my most recent book just delivered itself to me, like every other idea. It's not my business where ideas come from. It's my business to write them down.

How do you get inspired to write?

Julia Mossbridge I don't know how inspiration comes. It comes, and I'm grateful.

What are you currently working on?

Julia Mossbridge I'm working on taking care of what I write. In the past I used to treat each book like a full-grown adult -- as if once it is written, it should just be able to take care of itself. Now I'm starting to see that publication is like having a baby. It's the start of a book's life, not the end. And each book needs support to grow into what it can be.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Julia Mossbridge I often tell aspiring writers not to call themselves aspiring. If you write one word, you're a writer. Just keep writing and ignore advice. Like mine.
